Welcome to iAd Properties ("we", "our", "us"). We run the website www.iadproperties.co.zw (the "Platform"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and keeping your personal information secure.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect your information when you use the Platform to browse, list, buy, sell, rent or book property and accommodation. By using the Platform you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

Information you give us

• Account information: your name, email address, phone and WhatsApp number, and a securely scrambled (hashed) version of your password.
• Profile information: for agents, companies and hosts this may include your company name, EAC registration number, logo and description.
• Listing information: property address, type, price, photos, description and map pin.
• Messages and enquiries: messages you send through the Platform and enquiries you make about a property, including mortgage enquiries.
• Bookings and payments: stay dates, guests, and payment references from Paynow. We never see or store your card number or mobile money PIN.
• Verification documents: ID documents, EAC certificates, company papers and proof of ownership that you upload so we can verify you.

Information collected automatically

• Device information: your IP address, browser and device type.
• Usage information: pages you view and searches you make, kept in our server logs to keep the Platform secure and working.

Information from others

If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To run the Platform: create and manage your account, show your listings and connect buyers, sellers, landlords, tenants, hosts and guests.
• To process payments: for packages, boosts and stays paid through Paynow, and to pay hosts and send refunds.
• To communicate with you: service emails about your account, listings, bookings and payments, and replies to your enquiries.
• To keep the Platform safe: verify agents, companies and owners, detect fraud and prevent misuse.
• To improve the Platform: understand what works and fix problems.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

• With other Users: when you list a property or send an enquiry, your contact details are shown to the person you are dealing with.
• With mortgage providers: only if you ask us to pass on your mortgage enquiry.
• With service providers: our hosting provider, Paynow for payments and our email provider, who may only use it to provide their service to us.
• For legal reasons: when the law, a court order or legal process requires it, or to protect our rights and Users.
• Business transfers: if our business is merged or sold, your information may pass to the new owner.

5. Verification Documents

ID documents, EAC certificates, company papers and proof of ownership that you upload for verification are stored privately on our server. They are never shown on the website and only our verification team can open them. We use your verification documents only to confirm who you are and that you may advertise the property.

You can delete your verification documents yourself once we have made a decision (Become Verified → Your documents), or ask us to delete them. Your Verified badge is not affected.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers and protected with encryption in transit (HTTPS), strong passwords and restricted access. No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights and Choices

• Access and update: review and change your details under Manage Account.
• Delete documents: delete your verification documents as described above.
• Delete your account or data: ask us to delete your account or personal data. We may keep some records where the law requires it (for example payment records).

8. Third-Party Links

The Platform may link to other websites. This Privacy Policy does not apply to them; please read their own policies.

9. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
